• First Steps in Learning

  Nursery

  Nursery learning is live and play-based. Children practise listening, early phonics, counting, Urdu letter play, discovery, drawing, movement and short Islamic stories with a teacher on camera.

• Discover, Explore and Grow

  Kindergarten

  Kindergarten strengthens phonics, early reading and writing, numeracy, communication, world discovery, creativity and movement, with daily Quran and Islamic Studies at an age-appropriate level.

• Building Strong Foundations

  Grade 1

  Grade 1 uses a recommended primary subject structure: English, mathematics, science, Urdu, social studies, computing, Islamic Studies and daily Quran, taught through live demonstration, guided practice and creative work.

  • Science. Simple observations and questions about the world.

  • Islamic Studies. Age-appropriate Islamic Studies alongside the school day.
  • Dedicated Quran Learning. Quran Learning offered separately from Islamic Studies.

• Live teaching

  Every lesson is teacher-led on Zoom. Children answer, show work to the camera and take part in the group, not a recorded course.

• Phonics and communication

  English letter sounds, speaking, listening and early reading grow through stories, rhymes and guided talk.

• Numeracy

  Number sense, counting and practical mathematics are taught with the class maths books and live demonstration.

• Quran learning

  A daily 40-minute Quran / Noorani Qaida lesson begins on the child's first teaching day at their assessed level. A separate Quran textbook is not listed in the class book set.

• Islamic Studies

  Age-appropriate values, duas and Islamic knowledge are taught from the class Islamic Studies book, separately from Quran recitation.

• Discovery, creativity and movement

  World-around-us themes, art, storytelling and Move & Grow keep the school day active and balanced.

These titles are the approved OPVG School book identities for the 2026–2027 session. They show what each class uses, not a chapter-by-chapter syllabus. Quran instruction is part of the school day and is not represented by a separate pictured textbook.
